Simon Kjaer is one to watch in the Denmark 2010 World Cup squad, according to FIFA, despite the fact that the centre-back only made his international debut in 2009 due to the number of injuries that the team as a whole was faced with. In spite of that fact, Kjaer has since gone on to become man of the match against Portugal, helping his side to a 1-1 draw in the World Cup qualifier. A home win against Sweden at 1-0 is also now under his belt - and was the deciding match in Denmark's qualification bid. But Kjaer's debut remains an understandably memorable moment in his young career, as Denmark won 1-0 - this time away - over Northern Europe rivals Sweden. "It was definitely a dream debut," FIFA reports him as saying. "I couldn't have wished for more than an away win over Sweden." Denmark are not ranked among the favourites to take the win in the World Cup in South Africa this summer; however, for those prepared to take a punt, odds as long as 150/1 can be found at the online bookmakers.
